BLESSINGS
Every day when I open my eyes,
I ask God, Help me to realize
The beauty of earth and skies,
All the blessings He supplies.
The ability to arise and to dress,
Hears me when I do confess.
Knowing that I am not sinless,
I have made of my life a mess.
I cannot go back and erase,
The wrongs I must surely face.
I feel that I am a disgrace,
Because I have left the place.
Where You intended me to stay,
Safe in Jesus’ appointed way.
At the cross our sins he did pay.
In judgement I want Him to say,
“Well done.” Good and faithful,
Enter into heaven and be full.
Your sins are now white as wool,
Forever safe from Satan’s pull.
To worship God in eternal praise
Singing with the Angels always.
No more pain, no nights or days,
No thought of this earthly maze.
