Open mine eyes that I might see

The beauties of Heaven prepared for me.

Not for me only, but for you too,

If we will follow His Word so plain and true.

Open my ears, and also my heart,

Let thy Word enter and never depart.

Your promises are true that will my faith increase,

By obeying your Word, my sins you’ll release.

In this life as a Christian there are blessings galore,

But nothing to compare to that which is in store.

The description God gives in His book divine,

Of that heavenly home is marvelous and sublime.

In all of our problems we have here below

May we never complain or defeat never show.

Remember the Lord Jesus in His shame and despair,

And He wants you and me His blessings to share.

So may we be faithful and remain ever true

To God’s Holy commands
