FAMILY & FRIENDS

With the Lord’s help, time, effort and enthusiasm on the part of a lot of willing workers (even with the inconvenience of the construction) the Bella Vista congregation successfully completed Vacation Bible School of 1999. Good weather, record attendance, we are encouraged!! Let’s do it again next year!! I could call it the icing on the cake, but Caitlin Hayes’ baptism Monday evening was much more than that. Her parents, John and Rhonda, rejoiced, we rejoiced, the angels rejoiced, there was joy all around! Wish you had been here!

More celebration going on Sunday morning when Larry & Cheryl Royer expressed their desire to become a part of this church family. The Royers have been coming to visit us for several years. They came from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and now reside at 31 Thaxted Drive, Bella Vista 72715. Phone 876-1065.

And, we are more than pleased when visitors come. For instance, Amanda & Tyler Tarr (Coral Springs, FL), Bob & Patsy Boynton (Lubbock, TX), April Gilmartin, Sara Foster, Russel & Teresa Foster family (Lamar, MO), Megan Jurgens (Sedalia, MO), Allyson Day (Pittsburg, KS), Royce, Debbie, Hannah & Shari Meili (Wichita, KS), Nick Martin (Anderson, MO), Bruce & Ann Gilbreth (Rocky Comfort, MO), Kevin York (Moore, OK), Marybeth Todd, Louise Warren, Karen Harmon (Huntsville, AR), theWohlford family (Rogers), Mr. & Mrs. Mike Dunnam, Steve Gunter (Bentonville), the Charles Flanary family, Mike & Bobette York, Dave & Angela Goodman, Bill & Mary Montgomery (Bella Vista). Come again, folks. You are always welcome.

It may be a secret, but I’ll tell you anyway. Our Harold Shores will celebrate a momentous birthday this week. Harold has been a special part of this family for many years, and though confined to his home, he is always in our hearts and prayers. Happy Birthday, Harold!

Here’s another bit of wonderful news. Kailey Brynn Kimbrell was born last Tuesday to the daughter and son-in-law of our Woody and Nancy Barker. Hmmm, guess that makes Woody and Nancy brand new grandparents. Congratulations to all!

Hope you noticed that Barbara Persels and Darrel Smith were with us in worship Sunday. Both have had serious health problems requiring hospitalization, but (we hope and pray) are on their way to complete recovery. We’ll continue our prayers for them, and for Virginia Artz, Alta Ray Stice, Melissa Key (Janie Willmon’s daughter), Bob Calvert (Pat Musson’s stepbrother), Ellie Waring (friend of the Fry family), Raymond Harp, Carmen Daniel, Gene Lerner (friends of the Knudsens).

Randall’s gospel meeting at the Whitehouse congregation begins Sunday. We’ll miss him, but will welcome Bruce Casada who always does an excellent job filling in for Randall.

Bring band-aids, ketchup & jelly are needed by Fair Haven Home.

May the Lord bless us all this week. Love you. XXOO—Gaye
