God’s Word is complete! It makes us complete. All situations and circumstances of life are covered in principle. We never lack instruction from God. We are never without directions upon which to base our decisions in the crucial issues of life. All the instructions necessary for life and godliness are provided. Herbert Hoover once said, The study of this book is a post graduate course in the richest library of human experience.
Grow in knowledge! Study! Meditate! Understand the will of the Lord! Over and over we are commanded to know God’s Word, His will for our lives.
Beecher once wrote, The truths of the Bible are like gold in the soil. Whole generations walk over it, and know not what treasures are hidden beneath. So centuries of men pass over the scriptures and know not what riches lie under the feet of their interpretation. Sometimes, when they discover them, they call them new truths. One might as well call gold, newly dug, new gold.
The riches are there! Exceeding great and precious promises are there! God’s Word is the manual for real life. It really works! The deeper you work the mine, the richer the ore becomes.
