Make Them Feel Welcome!!

A recent survey among people looking for a church home revealed the following facts:

• 72% didn’t want to be asked to stand or raise their

hand during the service.

• 64% didn’t want the preacher coming to visit next

week.

• 65% didn’t want to wear a name tag.

• 70% liked churches that made information about the

church available.

• 70% appreciated a letter the next week in the mail.

But the most interesting statistic was that seventy-eight percent of visitors loved being greeted individually after the service by the members around them.

Everybody appreciates friendliness. God created us for relationships. Relationship is what the Bible is about. Jesus reached out and greeted people individually. So, must we.

So, let’s surprise all our guests withÉ

• A friendly face.

• An individual greeting.

• An outstretched hand.

• And a brief conversation.

A man that hath friends must show himself friendly.
